Over 30 years ago a senior Pastor told me that the church that we were apart of was a “business” and should be run like a “business” for that was the only way to be successful in the “pastoral business.”
Evidently, he was right.
Look at all of the businesses and new business facilities that are springing up all over the land to collect money in the name of God and Christ and to make some men and women wealthy, powerful and famous – selling religion and Christianity as a commodity and preaching a message that is foreign to Christ and His Apostles. (Matthew 7:21-23)
Look at all of the Christian businesses of worship and ministries that are sprouting up all over the land serving their own causes and raising capital for their own purposes while shrouding their capitalistic motives in the image of selfless Christian ministry.
Yes! The old Senior Pastor was right. I wouldn’t fit in well with such a system or tradition.
I am not a business man or a politician and I am certainly not governed by political correctness or any denominational considerations or theologies or traditions or biblical interpretations.
I am not a Bible Christian nor am I labeled by anyone’s denominational distinctions, i.e., Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, etc.
It is sufficient for me to have been called and chosen by FATHER YHVH and gifted by Him with His Holy Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit).
It is more than I deserve to just be considered a Child of God – a born again Saint of the Most High YHVH. (Acts 2:38)
I Belong To God
