Matthew 7:3-5 English (ESV)
3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Along the way somehow or the other, we confused some human vices and societal ills and taboos with what God defines as sin. They aren’t always the same thing.
Everything a man does isn’t sin and just because you don’t approve of it or like it doesn’t make it a sin.
God defines what sin is and not man.
What may be sin in man’s eyes may not be sin in God’s.
Our first and foremost sins against God is unbelief and disobedience for unbelief is as witchcraft (divination) and stubbornness (disobedience) is as worshiping idols. ( 1 Samuel 15:23)
And Christ has said that to Love him is to Obey His Commandments. (John 14:15, 2 John 1:6)
And John the Evangelist wrote that God’s Commandments aren’t burdensome. (1 John 5:3)
So before you judge anyone as being guilty of some social-cultural sin or human vice, be very sure that your hands and heart are clean of unbelief and disobedience against God’s Holy Eternal Commandments and the teachings of Christ.
Before you remove the speck out of my eye, remove the beam from yours first.
I am just trying to KEEP IT REAL.
