It is the Wealthy, Powerful, Famous and The Elite in society that has the most influence and impact on the way that we see things.
Maybe you not have noticed it but in whatever moral direction the affluent goes that is also the direction that the world goes in.
The affluent, the politically and socially powerful and the media mega gods shape our opinions, attitudes and values everyday. Many are just blind to the delectable and captivating hand of Satan altering God’s order and eternal moral statutes in order to feed the desires of the flesh and of sin and cause us to worship, imitate, serve, praise, honor and glorify the Beast unaware.
Without realizing it, many so-called Christians have become idolaters by imitating the world and taking on the world’s image and immoral values.
There is very little if any real visual or behavioral distinction between a saint and a sinner these days. The line between right and wrong is so blurry that an Optometrist couldn’t clear it up.
However, all true and genuine Christians are challenged and commanded by Father God to be distinctively different from the world in appearance as well as in deportment.
There are some scriptures that I could quote but I will simply summarize here by saying that we are commanded to be Holy for our Heavenly Father is Holy.
We are challenged to live soberly and in modest apparel as opposed to resembling the glamour and glitter of the world.
We are commanded to guard our tongues from ungodly and unfruitful words and to esteem others better than ourselves.
We are commanded to demonstrate love daily and not look upon our brother’s needs and not willingly share our abundance with him.
We are commanded to pray always and forgive constantly, trusting our Father to avenge any wrongs done to us for truly we belong to Him.
And we are commanded to maintain sexual purity and avoid even the appearance of immorality.
These things being said, it is fairly easy to see that anyone adhering to these eternal principles would stand out from the world like a single flame in a dark room.
Instead of going along to get along and succumbing to the seductions of the world and its many powers, try letting your little light shine. You may find that you are not alone. There are many other little lights around you.
Let your light shine today!
This Is How We Praise Our God.
Together we can light up the world.
(Bishop O.W. Prince)
“You are light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Likewise, when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lampstand, so that it shines for everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:14-16 (CJB)
