Where in the New Testament is a woman referred to as a pastor, elder, bishop or preacher?
“Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.” (Numbers 27:16-17)
“And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence (submission).” (1 Timothy 2:12)
“I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:3)
Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men (ä-nā’r – males).” (Ephesians 4:8)
It is easy to see from the Holy Scriptures that God did not set women over men as pastors nor did He gift them with the titles or offices of apostles, bishop, elder or pastor.
Don’t get it twisted! The world may have changed but God Does not change.
