Here a few tips on how to be a really good spiritual consumer:
1. Put your Bible(s) away. You don’t have time to read it anyway, so get it out of sight so you don’t have to feel guilty about it. You can enjoy the blessings without the daily reading.
2. Keep your prayer time short and to the point. Get through your list of demands – I mean, requests – quickly. If God wants to speak to you, He can catch up with you later. As long as He deals with your list first.
3. Show up for church a little late and get yourself out of there before the service is over. You wouldn’t want to leave an opportunity for someone to ask you to usher or work in the nursery or put chairs away or something. You have a greater destiny, after all.
